The pressure is slow but relentless until the state figures it literally snap the trap, or country, closed and stifle any residual dissent. Nothing new here. How would you see this affecting the study abroad sector - would upper-middle class be discouraged to send their children abroad?
I don't foresee a sudden collapse. But the broader control trend looks ominous for outbound travellers and students.
Would you have info on to what extent if any biometrics are used in exit-entry control in China, as this can relate to curbing fraud but also error?
